Two girls, Julianna Smith and Andela Dozier, from Troop 21638 have come up with the idea to build a walkway up to the flagpole at Warwick Memorial Park. They are asking people to purchase a brick because they feel that on the walkway, people should be able to show their support to the veterans at this memorial park.
The girls are building this walkway for their Silver Award. The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. It gives the girls a chance to show that they are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving their community.
What we are doing
The Flagpole was supposed to have a walkway, but currently doesn't have one. Adding a walkway can make veterans and citizens feel like the American flag is well represented.
